Welcome to my first post in the series of post related to Akademy 2006, the annual KDE conference held at Dublin, Ireland this year from 23th September to 30 september. I’ll discuss about all my preparation for the trip, randoms thoughts and also resume of the days at Akademy 2006.

First of all, getting out my Canadian passport which I got about 2 weeks ago !!. The process of getting my passport was long and I needed to get a new birth certificate(to remove the Jean- prefix from my “official” name, long history). Now things are settled up and I don’t like all this bureaucracy.

My hostel and Akademy registration was done at the same time. Heck the hostel cost me only 151.75 EUR (~227$CAN), which is really a nice price.

I still do not have booked my flight yet, though I have looked on Air Canada website. The flight which I’ll probaly take is the AC894 on 21th September 2006 at 23:00 at Toronto Airport. This is also a call for fellow Canadian KDE developers who will like to fly with KDE entousiasts :) (/me looks at Aaron and George Staikos ;) )

See ya around in Dublin in September

  1. Hub Says:

I take note if I ever come (still undecided), as I might fly from YOW… which means either YUL or YYZ for the international leg of the flights.
